Wafud Initiative

Wafud Initiative for Civilizational Communication is a student-led initiative under the Student Partnership Program at King Saud University. It focuses on promoting civilizational communication, cultural openness, and awareness of the rich heritage of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its role in fostering dialogue and communication among different cultures. The initiative aims to raise students’ awareness of cultural, regional, and international issues and enhance their understanding of cultural diversity and civilizational dialogue through meaningful and interactive programs and activities. It also works to highlight Saudi identity and strengthen its global presence while promoting dialogue, understanding, and cultural exchange through cultural exhibitions, dialogue sessions, awareness activities, and meaningful partnerships. Through its efforts, the initiative has contributed to enriching cultural and civilizational awareness among beneficiaries and strengthening the presence of Saudi culture in spaces of communication and cultural exchange.
